The State Changers - Justin discussed an issue with a menu ID and a custom function in their code. They wanted to be able to run the function whether or not the menu ID was null. They decided to get rid of the precondition and rename the custom function for clarity. They discussed the output and decided to return the result of the function or the result from the query. They also talked about how to make an external API request and discussed authentication for the API. They mentioned that the time out for the call needs to be in seconds and that using Xano's functionality is simpler than using Lambda. Overall, they made progress on resolving the issue and clarified their approach for making API calls.
