Cryptography Challenges in Implementing a Circle API with Xano

In this meeting, the State Changers primarily discussed the problem related to implementing cryptocurrency-related features using Xano, Lambda, and JavaScript in a no-code environment, hold by Gotye. Gotye aims to develop an application that links user accounts to Seco blockchain wallets. However, he encountered a snag while attempting to configure the Node.js crypto library (not to be confused with Crypto JS) on Xano for API encryption.

One of the main points discussed in the meeting was that Xano does not support Crypto JS or require statements. It employs the Node.js crypto library, meaning Gotye has to configure his application accordingly. It was also suggested that Gotye read and understand the official documentation for the Node.js crypto library. Another key point made was that cryptography is often the 5% hardest part of no-code development projects. Due to cryptography's precision, it cannot work with "close enough" solutions—everything has to align perfectly. It was highlighted that Xano does provide tools for such operations via its support for the Node crypto library and ethers.js. A solution suggested to Gotye was to utilize the state change community platform or the Xano community forum for more interactive help. The State Changers agreed to help Gotye look more deeply into the problem if he joined State Change. This meeting is useful for developers looking for help on problems related to implementing the Node.js crypto library on Xano, cryptography in no-code development and specifically, those trying to link blockchain wallets to user accounts for applications.
