Discussion on Improving SMS Delivery Speed and Data Encryption for Xano and Twilio Integration

The State Changers meeting focused primarily on optimizing messages functionality using Twilio, enhancing data security, and improving data storage and transportation methods.

The major issue discussed was a slowdown in sending descriptors like arrival airport, destination airport, and time via Twilio for bulk SMS dispatch. It was suggested to queue groups of SMSs to be sent, possibly by exploiting Twilio's ability to receive a list of numbers and send the same message to all. Another suggestion considered was data processing improvement, primarily changing the method of saving all messages in memory before writing them into the database all at once. The challenge of messages with links being blocked by T Mobile was mentioned, and a resolution was proposed with Twilio, crafting the SMS so that T Mobile would find it acceptable. Another topic discussed was the issue of secure data storage, especially personal data like driver's license and passport numbers. It was suggested that basic encryption was covered at the protocol level using HTTPS, despite some data being kept on users' phones. State Changers emphasized the importance of handling data appropriately, ensuring secure transportation between DraftBit, and Xano extending data security protocols to more secure storage of authentication tokens, ideally through token expiration combined with two-factor authentication using a one-time access code. The overall consensus was to emphasize fixing less secure elements rather than intensifying already secure aspects. The meeting did not name these keywords: "Xano", "WeWeb", "FlutterFlow", "Zapier", "Make", "Integromat", "Outseta", "Retool", "Bubble", "Adalo", "AppGyver", "AppSheet", "Comnoco", "Fastgen", "Firebase", "Google", "OAuth", "Stripe", "Airtable", "DraftBit", "Javascript", "Typescript", "React", "Vue.js", "JSX", "HTML", "CSS", "lambda", "serverless", "State Change", "ScriptTag", "OpenAI", and "AI21". However, the principles discussed are applicable to similar tools and technologies.
