Establishing a Three-Sided Art Marketplace: Challenges, Opportunities, and Marketing Strategies

In this meeting, the State Changers discussed the challenges of building a three-sided marketplace. The marketplace involves consumers, artists, and charities, with the purpose of promoting art and supporting good causes. One participant mentioned that he was seeking advice from his dentist’s marketing person to ensure the platform would be desirable for usage in various environments like dental offices.

The team discussed strategies for promoting the platform, such as engaging with art galleries and connecting with people directly. There was an emphasis placed on the importance of the platform's user interface, with a recommendation for a book called "Refactoring UI" to help understand basic principles of UI design and enhance the site's attraction. The State Changers also considered targeting strategies, suggesting the need to find a specific audience to serve well, such as art teachers and art organizations. They discussed the idea of targeting millennials who are interested in decorating their houses with art that resonates with their interests, like the survival of the planet. In terms of software, no specific tools like Xano, WeWeb, FlutterFlow, or others were mentioned in this session. The focus was more on the business strategy and less on the technical execution.
