Exploring PDF and Email Automation Options: Google Docs, CloudConvert, Gmail and Mailchimp Versus SendGrid

In this meeting, the State Changers discussed various technical processes and tools:

1. They discussed how to create and deal with PDFs efficiently. One participant shared he uses CloudConvert to convert HTML into PDF for data-heavy documents. This allows him to map crucial data pieces into the HTML and export it as a PDF. The client this solution was created for emails the generated PDFs, but to ensure accuracy, a draft with the PDF attached is created initially. 2. The topic then transitioned to why CloudConvert is chosen over Google Drive. They agreed that Google Drive is a more complex method and requires more operations, while CloudConvert is simple and allows up to 25 conversions daily for free. 3. The conversation then shifted to managing and sending emails for large email lists. One participant suggested using Mailchimp for standard emails and Mandrill for transactional emails, citing good deliverability rates. 4. There was also a brief discussion about SendGrid, mentioning that although it's widely used, its user experience is marked as sub-optimal. This meeting's key focus points were PDF creation, email handling, and the comparison of different tools like CloudConvert, Google Drive, Mailchimp, Mandrill, and SendGrid.
