Troubleshooting and Implementing Debugging Solutions for Custom Action Chain Errors

During the meeting, the State Changers discussed error handling in a piece of code related to action chains for a custom application. The application had a function generating workouts with exercises much like meals with ingredients. They discovered that this function which performed as expected in a certain action chain, was not working in another and an error which did not manifest in one chain of actions did in another.

There was a discussion about the need for error logging to assist with debugging. An endpoint was suggested to be created using either Xano or Pipe Dream where signals indicating the completion of each of these actions would be sent. This exercise is meant to provide visibility on errors by turning it into an analytic problem rather than one that just poses more questions. Furthermore, they discussed about putting some try-catch errors which will help in squelching more errors giving greater visibility. The Firebase, Javascript, JSON formats, React and API calls are mentioned in their discussion. The meeting ended with the State Changers agreeing to deploy the discussed changes and see how the application behaves.
