Troubleshooting and Optimizing Web Performance in WeWeb

The State Changers meeting centered around the issue of decreasing the number of elements in a page to improve its performance, more specifically loading time, in relation to WeWeb. The team was attempting to remove elements on a page to enhance the performance, but despite reducing the number of elements, it did not lead to an observable performance improvement. The team then examined the JavaScript heap size and the number of event listeners, which appeared to be triggering the problem. They discussed the potential of a memory leak in WeWeb, or something internally causing the JavaScript heap to swell, leading to performance hurdles. The team agreed to share these stats with WeWeb for troubleshooting, with the possibility of including memory reduction strategies like memoization. They also deliberated on an alternative approach of splitting the app into multiple pages, which might help alleviate the loading burden even if it doesn't visually seem like multiple pages to the user. They plan to give feedback to the group and possibly seek external help in troubleshooting.
